Elizabeth Ann Smith is a Recording Artist, Songwriter, Publisher, Book Author, and Ordained Minister of the gospel. She has served the Lord for many decades, and plans to do so until He calls her home! Love for Christ empowers her to remain hard-working and obedient to her calling.  She believes Hebrews 11:6 which says, “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

What she has received in way of discipleship music and books has been from ‘diligently seeking Him’.   Knowing how much she has been blessed by intimacy with the Lord, she encourages everyone to delve into the discipleship music, peaceful instrumentals, and books of wisdom and knowledge that the Lord has entrusted her to share with you.  All created that ‘He may seek you out’ and that you may ‘diligently seek Him’.

Elizabeth shares a little about her personal life and gives a testimony of God's handiwork: 

My husband Leonard and I are now in our retirement years. We live in the Ozark mountains an hour east of Branson, Missouri. The area is so beautiful with its scenic hills, pastures, lakes, and the peaceful presence of God. 

We have 4 sons, 15 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren…And, I am so blessed at my age to have both my parents still living and nearby too. What a treasure they are! They are faithful servants of God, as well! 

God has also blessed us with an amazing church family at Thornfield House of Prayer, and our neighbors and friends enrich our lives. Truly God is good to us! I give him glory and praise, for it is His Presence in our life that enriches us the most!  

Leonard and I are both ordained as ministers of the gospel, yet now serve as lay people in our local church, with Leonard preaching a couple Sunday evenings a month, and me helping on the worship team, as needed, whether on the piano, flute, or singing. 

In the quietness of home, I’ve been writing articles and creating music, as led by the Spirit of God...for many years now. I consider myself “a scribe” who enjoys sitting at the feet of Jesus, to receive. The Spirit of God gives me things to share. I begin by journaling what He speaks…meditating on his words…and later, going back to share what I have received with others, through music and journalism. My spiritual gift is exhortation, and I have been given a prophetic psalmist anointing to bring forth ‘new songs’, mostly in the direction of God to His People. 

Some are curious of my process, so I'll explain: Usually I would hear a melody or message ‘within myself’ and then I'd sit at my piano to see if I could create what I was ‘hearing’. Then I would lay a track at a time down on my keyboard to make my background tracks. Very time consuming, but under ‘an anointing’ to do so. I'd then take that disk into a recording studio, and paying an hourly rate there, I would add the vocal tracks until I wasn't “hearing anything else” within, to add in way of harmonies. That's basically how I'd know I was finished with a particular song.  All these songs were done one at a time as I could afford to do them, and my albums were compiled over many years, even though just recently republished. I look back now, as an older woman, and I am amazed at God, and how my small, seemingly-insignificant ‘steps of obedience’ were in line with the bigger plan that God had in mind all the time. He definitely works Philippians 2:13 in us, my friends! He certainly did in my life! Yet, I had no idea of the ‘multiplication’ God was and is capable of! Like the boy with his 5 loaves and 2 fishes fed many, for Jesus did the multiplying… this is what happened to my songs.  He has given his people over 150 published songs! Friends, this was the work of the Holy Spirit operating in my life. No way could I have born this fruit without abiding in Christ! I am quite aware that my natural talents are limited, my education is nothing to brag about, my appearance is less than average, I have endured chronic pain and health issues, and my pocketbook has never ever been deep!  God is the ONLY explanation! His grace brought forth the time, the ability, the learning needed along the way, and most of all, the perseverance! That's why I could write the song “No Inability”! His ability completes things! …Completes us!

Just when I thought God was done with me, ministry-wise, and I put my music away for a season, He gave me 9 books! The book links to Amazon are in the menu above. But these books didn't come by me deciding to sit down and write them, or by any desire to “be an author”! They came via faithful obedience to blog as He gave me something to share along life's way. I blogged for several years…only as He would prompt me to share something! Quite effortless, actually! I had no idea that he would instruct me, after retiring, to put the saved blog posts that were in my computer files into books! He had the bigger plan in mind all the time! The books became unique and interesting, and He had me incorporate links to my songs within the first three volumes of the Receive From Me Book Series. Readers of the eBooks listen to a message in song right in the midst of reading their book chapter! Friends, never in a million years could I have imagined such a thing possible! Yet alone possible for me to do it! I really had no idea what I was doing most of the time, and I didn't make money at anything he was asking of me. Yet, I remained faithful, in love with Jesus, and was ‘a prisoner of hope’.  I held onto the Lord through great trials and tribulations along life's way. Maybe you have too.  But I encourage you to see the exhortation of what hope brings forth, found in Zechariah 9:12… “Turn you to the strong hold, you prisoners of hope: even to day do I declare that I will render double unto thee.”

So why am I telling you all this?

Because God wants you consistently obeying Him and listening to the Holy Spirit's promptings each moment of your day too! Even though you may not have any idea of God's Bigger Plan!! Allow Christ to rule and reign within you. 

Christ, the Lord, is The Good Shepherd and will lead you in the way you should go! He will keep you in faith by encouraging you along life's way too! He is the author and finisher of your faith!  He will not disappoint! In fact, Romans 5:5 says “This hope will not disappoint us, because God's love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us!” Wow! Embrace that truth for yourself! (smile)

Trust and Obey Him! You'll never ever regret doing so! Discover His ways and His will by hearing the music and reading the books He has given me to share with you. Then continue on to tune in to His Voice within yourself! Christ in You, is the Hope of Glory! (See Colossians 1:27) You are unique!! He desires to use you and gifts He gives you, for His Glory! Uber drivers, nurses, teachers, moms, dads, grandparents, pastors, factory workers, fishermen, business people, students, construction workers,  just everyone!!! Christ in you…will accomplish great things for the Kingdom of God!

With the 2024-2025 releases of my books and albums, I am personally desiring to get out of ministry-mode, take a much needed “rest”, and just enjoy drawing near to the Lord ‘for me’, that I myself might be 'ready' for Jesus's return! It is time for everyone to prepare! I'm hoping what I have share on this website will help you to get ready to meet Jesus too. (smile)

"Receive From Me" …the name for this website, and my books, and the publisher name of my music… was chosen because it is His beckoning for you to Receive From Him, The Lord...Therefore, I ask that everything on this site is viewed and listened to as being from Him. I am but His Ambassador, so this will be all I shall speak of myself. I am to speak for the Kingdom, and the King, I represent, as are you.  God has a purpose for all that He has asked of us.

He desires to speak to His People. 

Therefore, I am sure he wants to work in your life! 

He loves you so very much. 

He reaches out with an invitation for you to come closer, so He can come closer. 

My prayer is that you be given increased intimacy with the Lord.
